FASHION WEEKEND: JESS @INKEDANDSEWN

The second installation of my FASHION WEEKEND series is due today, so I have the pleasure of introducing you to Jess @Inked & Sewn which is a diverse fashion blog consisting of style advice, DIY's and amazing fashion finds.

Steve Madden patent leather loafers
1 - It’s Friday night after a long week at work, where are you heading to unwind and what are you wearing on your feet?
Definitely to my best friends house for a glass of wine and a gossip session. Even though I’m not much of a going-out-girl for the most part, looking cute is always on the top of my list. Steve madden patent leather loafers are a perfect way to keep me feeling stylish without sacrificing comfort.

Simple LBD
2 - You’ve headed to the newest club in your town and the dress code is over-the-top and as-much-glitz-as-poss., ideally, what striking dress do you choose to wear?
Because I love to stick to staple dresses and dress them up to get the maximum wear out of them, I would stick with a simple LBD and pile on the glitzy accessories.

Urban Outfitters snood
3 - The morning after: the temperature’s dropped yet you have an oh-so-important shopping trip to attend to, what accessories do you throw on to keep warm, comfy but chic?
My thick, knit, infinity scarf and fingerless gloves from Urban Outfitters. The scarf doubles as a semi-hood for the not-so-cute hair days and the fingerless gloves keep my palms warm without getting in the way of sifting through racks for deals.

Vintage inspired jewellery
4 - Drinks with the girls/boys Saturday afternoon in a trendy retro-like bar and your dressing to make an impression, what vintage themed items do you choose without looking to much like a confused time-traveler?
I would have to go with a classic pencil skirt, tank and men’s wear coat with a vintage bracelet and my favorite vintage metal bag. Keeping a modern look with vintage jewellery is always the key for me.
Urban Outfitters slipper-boots

5 - Saturday night ends you up at home with a partner or friend with DVD’s and nachos a-plenty. How do you stay comfy without looking like a walking bed sheet?
An oversized American Apparel tank, my harem-pant sweats and my fur bed slipper-boots from Urban Outfitters – what’s more comfortable then that?!

6 - Lunch with the parents is on the agenda for Sunday and its time to tone down your sometimes arguably outrageous fashion (that lands you plenty of odd glances from the elder generation). How do you keep your style footprint on a much more subtle and parent-pleasing outfit?
Although my parents would never ask me to change my look to please them, I would stick with a black sweater dress, boots, my Michael Kors watch, a long pendant necklace and a few simple rings.

Thanks for reading guys make sure to check back next weekend for more event-dressing inspiration from some incredible up and coming fashion bloggers!
