FASHION WEEKEND: LINDSAY @feathers&futons

Welcome to the first of the FASHION WEEKEND series, where I interview a different blogger every week asking them about their 'fashion weekend'. Expect to see a 'fashion weekend' post every Friday for the forseeable future!
Allow me to introduce to you Lindsay @feathersandfutons - a new jointly owned fashion blog.

1 - It’s Friday night after a long week at work, where are you heading to unwind and what are you wearing on your feet?
After a long day of work I am most likely heading out to dinner with the girls. I would probably be wearing a pair of Alexandre Birman Peep-toe Python Pumps along with a good pair of skinnies, a loose white pussy-bow blouse, and a killer clutch.

2 - You’ve headed to the newest club in your town and the dress code is over-the-top and as-much-glitz-as-poss, ideally, what striking dress do you choose to wear?

If it is over-the-top and as-much-glitz-as-poss, then metallic is the way to go. Therefore, I would be seen rocking the Alice + Olivia Tabitha Metallic Dress, with black tights, Matiko Mila Stud Ankle Boots, and my favorite White House/Black Market Crystal Fan Bangle.

3 - The morning after: the temperature’s dropped yet you have an oh-so-important shopping trip to attend to, what accessories do you throw on to keep warm, comfy but chic?
Story of my life! I would definitely throw on some dark-wash skinnies, the most amazing J. Crew Cape, a couple of bracelets from Forever 21’s Gold Textured Bangle Set, and then I would slip on the most amazing Steven Madden Leopard Oxford Flats.

4 - Drinks with the girls/boys Saturday afternoon in a trendy retro-like bar and your dressing to make an impression, what vintage themed items do you choose without looking to much like a confused time-traveller?
As always, I would throw on my trusty skinny jeans and a pussy-bow blouse. I would dress that up with a BB Dakota Fur Vest, a K. Amato Turquoise Necklace, and a pair of Black Combat Boots.

5 - Saturday night ends you up at home with a partner or friend with DVD’s and nachos a-plenty. How do you stay comfy without looking like a walking bed sheet?

-Lindsay chose an outfit posted on her blog which is pictured left-

Comfy leggings, a plain white tee, a chunky knit boyfriend cardi, a simple scarf and then top if all off with a fedora, flats, and aviators.

6 - Lunch with the parents is on the agenda for Sunday and its time to tone down your sometimes arguably outrageous fashion (that lands you plenty of odd glances from the elder generation). How do you keep your style footprint on a much more subtle and parent-pleasing outfit?
Pretty much everything I have is parent-pleasing. I would say a modest dress like Asos Summer Dress, a simple cardigan, a pair of killer yet modest wedges, and accessorized with some simple bangles.

I certainly enjoyed having a cheeky nose and all of Lindsay's outfit choices and imagining how they'd
look together, I hope you did too.
